There have been a lot of words in this space. Today, the journey so far from my iPhone photo roll.

A hike in Palm Springs.

The last normal weekend. A track day.

The Stallion’s car, caught in a downpour. He had to leave five days later to be with his mom.

Enjoying the California sunshine before the stay-at-home era.

Wait. This is real. The Stallion has to leave today. Need comfort food. Stat.

A morning walk. With rain, comes rainbows.

The first real shock. Shopping in a depleted grocery store.
Discovering group FaceTime.

Now that’s a good looking sourdough starter. Finally.

The skies are pretty, but these clouds signal rain to come.

Wait. It's supposed to double?

Weeellll.... Let's bake this thing.

My quarantine bakery is open for business. It's good enough for avocado toast!

Foraging in the neighborhood. Lemons, limes, rosemary and lavender -- not bad!

More rainbows.

Another shock. Social distancing in the local bodega.

Nature in the neighborhood.

Stopping to smell the flowers.

So. Can I use an eye mask this way? Amazon is sold out of sewing elastic.

Provisioning in the plague. It took me an hour to unpack and clean my groceries.
And another shock. It's strange what hits you. When they closed the beaches and trails, they closed my neighborhood too.

I made a mask. Flaw in the system... Can't drink coffee on my walk while wearing a mask. Haven't had the coffee yet and didn't process that.

A lovely loaf. Great oven spring.

Sourdough will always be the flavor of quarantine.

Moody skies in the neighborhood.

… to be continued.
